12/8/09 05:24 pm - Computer Back-ups are Made Out of Fail. =___=;

I think my head just blew up. Or is blowing up. Or something. @__@; -brain fizzes- I think there should be some law against having to back up one's hard-drive on CDRs with a 700mb capacity. Really, I do.

It'd be one thing if I didn't mind being sloppy, but having to perfectly fold a disk sleeve -has none that are pre-made-, perfectly copy the table of contents, perfectly write the disk title on the front of the sleeve, and perfectly write the disk title on the disk is...eh...it's the reason for the explosion of my head. ~___~ -flails-

Rawr!

As for why I'm backing up my computer, that's 'cause my hard-drive randomly decided to have nervous breakdown and demand I re-format it. Yay for reformatti--oh, wait, no. No yay for reformatting. Fail for reformatting. Bah.

M'kay, well, now that I've emparted this deep and fascinating knowledge to you, I must hop off and face my Doom. ^___^ <3

Love out~ <3

-punts things- ^_____^ <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

8/26/09 11:48 am - ...

I should probably be apologising for making this. No, really. The fact that it took way too long for me to even remember doesn't help.

To the EPIC Geekery (worksafe): )

A non-moving version of this as well as one with just the dancing minus the 'song'(erm, text) will be coming... as soon as I get back from classes. XD

Out of context that last sentence sounds really confusing. '___';

7/14/09 04:34 pm - Flu From Hell

Buuuu. -______- Just writing to say that I'm living but dead. Simultaneously. It's quite a feat! XD; Actually, I have the Flu From Hell and really probably shouldn't be up but that's okay! Ergh, yeah. Everyone else in the entire gym had it except for me. Leave if to the last person to get it the worst? I think that's how it must work. Some rule of the universe or something. -nods unhappily- At least I get revenge for when everyone made me cover all of their classes? XD; Not really, though, since I had to write up a whole list of exercises and they just rang and told me to cover. Buu. Anyway, uh, yeah. Dead but living. Hopefully I'll be fully resurrected soon. Things'd better be going well in your worlds! Sorry I can't read and comment on things just now. .___.;

Miao. Laa. Miaolaa~~ @___@; Yeah. I'm off to sleep. All the best. Ta'.

P.s., Pardon if this is entirely incoherent. Like I said: Flu From Hell {as certified by my pain/discomfort-tolerance from Hell}. Rawrr. ~___~;

7/8/09 12:42 pm - Masterpiece Complete! >X3

It's done! It's finally finished! Wuahh! -collapses on the digital floor- I... have no idea how many hours this thing took. It was eternal. It was painful. In the history of ever there has never been such an awful thing to create. Seriously. XD; I got the idea in my head a little over a week ago, but hadn't the slightest idea as to how to go about creating the thing. But, now I do! And so it has been created! It's set as my icon. 'Cause that's what it is:

Centre-ing birds! XD;

Why This Isn't Astonishingly Random The Back-story:
There is a window directly next to my workstation/not-really-a-desk-but-kinda-type-thing in the kitchen. Outside of this window there is a telephone pole. Beyond the telephone pole there are abandoned buildings. Misto lives on the seafront. No fewer than sixteen species of birds can be seen outside of this window daily. ^__^ Misto likes birds! Misto also likes loves is obsessed with symmetry. :D Birds don't always position themselves symmetrically. This bugs the shit3 out of Misto. XD; No, she is not joking {despite speaking in third person... WTF, when did that happen 0___o;; }.

For whichever glorious and merciful reason, the birds on the abandoned buildings like symmetry, too. >:3 They also sort themselves by colour and cluster into strait lines. -covers the birds in love- The birds on the phone wires, however, have never once managed any such feat. It's just against some rule of Wrong. -____-;;; So, whenever Misto sits near this window and see the birds, she ends up staring as if willing the darned things to centre. ^___^;;;;; And then if they do she cheers and there is much rejoicing. XD

So, here we have it, Misto's perfect icon: birds using voice commands and HTML tags to attempt to create symmetry. :D

Yeah, m'kay, so, once again I've shown myself too lame to exist. -laughs- Sorry? ^___^;;;

Too lazy to locate my icon? Click to see! ^__^ Ah, and variations.  )

P.s., The background is breaking my brain. X___X; Which one should I use? ;___; Or shall I make more colours? I'd like is to white-stroke everything so that the icon would look different on different background {but still be visible against darker colours} but, whoa, time-consuming... -might do it anyway- X____X;;;

7/7/09 06:25 pm - 'Cause My Internet Hates Me... Once Again Living.

Something. Must. Die. -____-;; Or no, wait, something must not die; my internet, namely. *hisses* The fragging network tower has been dead for the past week, which means that my phone hasn't been running either (not that I mind that... *hates telephones*). But, uh, yeah. So, that's where I've been. -____-;;

So, what have I been up to during my great and epic absence? Teaching! :D So much teaching. People at work keep getting sick and I end up covering. Except, ya' know, I'm now covering things that I'm not even certified to teach. Like the kid's art classes. *twitches* I'm a martial arts teacher. I HIT THINGS. Martial arts! Not...glitter. I do not teach with glitter. Glitter gets everywhere. It infests everything. It's some plague from the very deepest circle of Hell which exists for the sole purpose of creating chaos and breaking my brain. *cries* It is also all over my clothing. And my flat. And I can. Not. Get. Rid. Of. It. *blitzes*

Guuhhh. -______-;;;
Pixel-thingies... )

So, uh, yeah. Isn't that exciting? X____x; *flops* There are probably more of these things lying around somewhere, but that's all for the time being. XD; *ignores the readers as they rejoice*

Oh, and, there is a fic! It's a Soul Eater fic. 'Bout Death the Kid. 'Cause I like to Beta read things and FF.net doesn't let you make a Beta reader's profile unless you've posted at five stories. XD; Anyway, here it is. It's called 'Asymmetry and Stones.' It also reflects my strangely up-beat view of death, so, you've been warned! :D Ah, and the formatting and tense-switches are on purpose. It was the only way I could think of to convey the sort of brain-blitz that happens when one is obsessing. ^__^;;; Anyway, here it is. It's called 'Asymmetry and Stones.' It also reflects my strangely up-beat view of death, so, you've been warned! :D Ah, and the formatting and tense-switches are on purpose. All of the text is centred because Livejournal was being a pain and not letting me centre one part of the text inside of a cut and not the other {seriously--it was messing with my coding... ;___; }. Titles must be centred. Ergo... XD; Anyway, there it is. Ta-da! Enjoy.

Asymmetry and Stones )

And now I'm going to go make food or something. Rawr. I missed the interweb so. -____-;; *hugs it* Stay working this time, m'kay?

[Edit: Edited 'cause I forgot to put the fic.-notes up top. X___x; Oops? ^___^;; ]

6/21/09 04:16 pm - The Once and Living Internet:

I. Am. Living. -collapses on the floor of her much-beloved livejournal in much the same manner as one collapses in the entrance of his or her flat after a prolonged journey- I am living and the dubious, entirely asymmetrical keyboard is dead. The pigeon/dove congregation {it meets on the roof of the abandoned building behind my flat} is still practicing segregation. They're getting better with their symmetry, though. :D

No internet plus fried computer plus people messing my flat {too tired to rant now--just know that it involved a new electricity meter and the need to rip into part of my wall to accommodate its...largeness} makes for many a bird observation. As a matter of fact, I think I've done nothing but doodle and stare out the window and the birds. XD; The window is just to the side of my workspace, so, this makes sense-- a dual activity of sorts. [insert thoughtful 'hrm'-ing here] I keep taking pictures of the bird-things with my Fail-tacular mini-camera, which I shall load, upload, and post when I am un-lazy enough. I'm sure the planet is looking wildly forward to it. XD; Ah, and I've made more pixel-things! :D I'll have to post those later.

Okay, enough with the useless announcements! I've comments to catch up on! >:3

6/9/09 07:02 pm - A Pixel-Present for Pulitz:

That title pleases me. XD: So many 'p's. =*______*=

Erm, uh, yes, but, anyway... XD; Click the cut to locate the pixel-presents. Like the title say, 'tis for [info]pulitz. Why? 'Cause she likes my silly pixel-thingies, and generally Wins at living. I hope you enjoy! =^_______^=

A Present~! =^______^= )

6/8/09 03:57 pm - Buahaha! The Base is Complete!

Alright, so, in my last entry I posted some little...dudes. *laughs* I'm still trying to get the hang of this, but, after many an hour (I can't believe how long these darned things take... guh... zoom in, zoom out, check, re-check, re-re-re-check... =@____@=; ), I have completed my very own pixel-person base from scratch! =*___*= Behold~! Muaha~!

They're Gokudera, Hibari, and Hibird from Katekyou Hitman Reborn! :3 Ah, yeah, and I decided upon the less-shaded colouring-style {A.-version}. Pixel-things, they should look pixel-e. *happy nodding*

Hibari Variations: Hibird on Hibari's head and Hibari with the Nami-prefect's Arm-band )

Oh, and here's Maka's soul {even though the absurd fuss about her wavelength's awesomeness has been angering me of late--okay, Kid's out for the time being, but we did have a God hanging around, yet it's all about Maka's wavelength...bah }. Once again, we have an A. and B-version {this was made before I decided that I liked A. best =^__^=; }:
A.
B.

Edit: I wanted to try to animate something. Hibird is about as simple of an object as you can get. XD; I don't know what it's doing, but hey~! *plops the result down and watches it fly...bounce...fly*

Yeah. It's bounce!flying. *laughs* Whoa its shadow was a pain. *waddles off to make more*

6/6/09 11:14 pm - Pixel-e-things

Pixel-beings are cute. As such, I've been trying to learn to make some. This is a pain in the Beep. XD; Anyway, I keep making random things all shrunken and pixel-e. The problem is, I can't decide upon a style of shading. So, I post. Here we have Soul Eater's Soul (I'd like to do them all, but his is simple), and some random little alien from Zettai Kakusei Tenshi Mistress Fortune. By the by, if you haven't read this series, go do so now. It's three chapters long and is pure crack. Solid. Crack... purified. XD; It also has a fairly interesting character, and the het.-romance dynamic is interestingly skewed, especially considering its author. All I have to say is this: the guy cries and throws a tantrum because of his love and has a magical transformation sequence involving cute shrunken angel wings. Oh, he also strikes a pose every time he's done transforming. XD; And is the main love interest. Love him. Love.

Oh, but yes! Back to the pixel-e-things!:

A. or B.

A. or B.

A. is a more 'pixel'-e style of pixel-colouring, and B. tries to make things look a little bit softer. I'm kind of liking B. for Soul's Soul and A. for the creature. Or maybe I like A. for both? Guhh. Dun'no. Must sleep. And make more because these things amuse me endlessly. XD; I will improve! Laa! *refuses to do something shite-ely---refuses!*

6/5/09 10:33 pm - Why Misto is a Raging Dumbass - Part One of Pi:

So, I've been inactive these past few days. Why? Because my keyboard broke. And it wasn't the entire keyboard, either--nuu, that would have been to equal and pleasing. It was just the shift and enter buttons.

Right, 'just' the shift and enter buttons. It's not like you need the shift and enter buttons to correctly type and format or anything... nope. They're useless. So useless, in fact, that I can't handle touching the keyboard while they aren't working (see entry title for clarification). =^___^=

So, after some searching, I found an external keyboard for fifty pence t a chrity shop. I am fascinated by it. XD For starters, it is wrong in every imaginable way that an object could possibly be wrong. I won't even explain. There will be a picture and it shall explain for me. You will see the wrongness upon first..just... it'll be obvious. How wrong. *stares at it...eternally* =-______-=;;;

Anyway, said keyboard has been with me for a good two days now (this being the second), but it's taken me up until now to accept (sort of...) how wrong it is. Not to mention how -long- it is. =0___o=; It really, truly is massive. XD; The guy at the shop was being all mean to me and asking if I could mange the keyboard by myself. *sulks* It's 'bout eighteen inches long, which, for me, hits just above the knee. The keys are all big and hard to press and everything is really spaced-out. Further than this, I don't know what to say about it. The beast's true nature has yet to reveal itself. *nods* Pro'lly's gon'na destroy the planetverse during the night. *nods solemnly...really, really, really solemnly*

Yes, oh yes, I am a dumbass.

A raging dumbass, no less! :D

Oh gosh, it's just so bad, though. XD;*laughs distress-ed-ly and runs about in circles*

Yesss... Now to go and fetch my camera so that I may take a picture of... *cringes*

Damn I need to be less lame. XD

'Cause pictures are worth thousands and thousands of words... )

5/29/09 03:02 pm - Feminism is for FAIL

Yes. You heard me: feminism is for FAIL. Not all feminism, of course--girls deserve rights as much as anyone (then again, so do guys...). What I'm talking about is the 'down with all that perpetuates feminine stereotypes'-type of feminism. Stereotypes in general fail. Walking up to someone and insulting her because you find her to perpetuate a stereotype is even more fail than the stereotype itself. Y'know why? 'Cause if you're really pro-women, then you'll also be pro free-will. And no, this rant is not entirely random. XD;

I've just returned from market and, hey, guess what happened? Some randomly rabid feminist chicks came up to me out of the blue and started harassing me for wearing a short skirt and generally looking like a 'girl.' Apparently I need to eat more, stop 'dressing provocatively,' and...gosh, I can't even remember what else. XD;

Y'wan'na know the funny part? Everything that these chickadees complained about is a direct result of my involvement with martial arts! Clothing interests me, but it comes second to mobility. Long trousers not only fail to fit (I really am tiny), but slow and hinder movement. I'm not interested. I always wear tights/leggings and shorts underneath skirts, so, there's actually no obscenity to be complained of! XP; As for my lack of body-fat, that might have something to do with the fact that I spend my time in a very, very active manner. Initially, neither woman would believe me, but the fact that I know my weapons (and they'd never heard of tonfaaaa *wails*) seemed to do the trick. XD;

Oh, but wait! There's a problem! A -real- woman would fight empty-handed! =0_____o=; Weapons are meant to compensate for lack of strength, right?

. . .

Die. Just, die. Immediately. My tonfa are extensions of my body. When they strike, I strike. They aren't implements. Weapons, yes, but not in any way separate from myself (which sounds strange, but, go figure).

This encounter ended with a rather bitter rant on my part about the bond between a martial artist and his or her weapon and how the introduction of their particular form of feminism into martial arts was disrespectful to the practitioner and art, both. After this there were no apologies--only silence. This pleased me. So, I left. And neither woman moved until I had. =^________^=

Yeah, okay, so they can talk about being 'strong women' all they want, but when it comes down to it, they're weak. Weak physically, because they, by their own admission, lead inactive lives, and weak mentally for feeling the need to attack others without call.

Bah. Yet another reason why humans anger me.

Edit: I'm adding doodles. Yay. XD;

Fan-Doodles: [worksafe] )

So well-cut. So very well-cut. So very, very well-cut, in fact, that it makes Reborn! look like it's officially yaoi/yaoi in cannon. XD

5/26/09 08:01 am - Clips and Crumbles

Fruit Pie Crumble

Is it just me or does this look really good? Forget the fact that buying five cups of blueberries would cost a fortune--the crumble looks delicious! *loves blueberries* I'm tempted to see if I can find canned blueberries and try the recipe with those, but most canned fruits aren't vegan-friendly due to the types of sugars/corn-syrup used in/for the canning fluid. Bah! Actually, the crumble would work with blackberries, too. The ones down by the train-tracks should be ripe soon. =*_____*= Alas, five cups of blackberries would, again, be difficult to find. XD; Combo? Blueberries and blackberries? Hrm...

Darnit! XD; I want that crumble! *laughs*

Oh, and please go and watch this. It's amazingly beautiful:

A short, yet lovely Urahara Kisuke tribute.

Even if you don't like 'pretty' things, do click! I promise that it'll be worth it! *nods happily*

5/21/09 10:27 am - Shrunken Doodleage & Craft-Link:

Before all else, let's make clear that idea of a wrist-watch pincushion wins. Now, go follow the link to the tutorial and make one (or just make one randomly...).

Anyway, 'just posting in the event that someone might want to use it---I'd do so myself, but the tutorial sample is off-centre... *is a raging lame-bot* =X_______x=;

Ah, but,dingbattery aside, here is the trial image for my upcoming webcomic~! =^____^=
Warnings: None. Click? )

Yes, I am lazy. Exceptionally lazy. *purrs* Erggh... Now, back to work. =-_____-=;

5/20/09 09:04 am - Richard Schechner, I Reject You.

Yes, you. If you've ever, in any capacity, studied texts relating to theatrical theory, you'll have heard his name. There's no chance that you haven't. Why? Because: he needs to stop writing. If I see this man's name on one more article, essay, production, or book I will cry. It's gotten to the point at which the professors have a special 'by Richard Schechner'-voice which they use when, once again, telling us to read one of the man's accursed works.

He's actually not a bad writer. At least his grammar's mostly correct *coughMcGrathcough*. Unfortunately, he writes so much that not even wikipedia can keep up with the guy's stuff. Oh, and he edits TDR (TDR: The Drama Review--used to be Tulane Drama Review) to boot! That's bound to get his name printed. Again. And again. And again. And....
Jus' look't all the books that Schechner has his name on! :D

Yeah. Okay. XD; Back to writing. *hops off*

...Whoa this entry was incoherent...

5/17/09 11:25 am - Grr to Exams...

Ya' know what I dislike? Exams. They're atrocious. I also fail to see the point in exams, or at least, the manner in which my university sees fit to administer exams. There's one full lecture and one full seminar dedicated to the material you'll be seeing during the testing, past exam questions are made available (often re-phrased and re-used), and the format is--essays! In short, you're all but told what you'll have to write about. If you pass, you've somehow cleared a test of knowledge. 'Cause it's not like all of this information was re-capped a week before or anything... Yeah, nothing like that... Pfft.

Ergh. But, at least my flat is ultra!clean (not that it isn't usually, but there had to be nothing I could declare in need of tidying), and I made a super!nommy breakfast: elbow/macaroni pasta, caramalised onions, almonds, peanuts, and sun-dried tomatoes in some type of strange balsamic vinegar and rapeseed oil sauce. *blinks* Actually, I might be the only person to find that to sound appetising. XD; Health-food junkie vegans are for win? =^____^=;;

Anyway, I'd best get off of the computer and... stop kidding myself? *is blatantly going to watch anime and nom things* Whoa. Don't be a slacker folks, it's bad for your health. Cheers.
